They’re now called attribute rules and you have to enable them by going to Gear Icon -> Add Ons -> Advanced data source management.

Then the option to add attribute feeds will appear as a tab in your data source!

Were you able to follow the steps in “Step 0: Switch to Classic Mode”?
1. Click on the Help logo in the top right
2. Click the last menu option “Use classic Merchant Center“
3. Confirm by clicking “Switch Now“

If these are NOT available to you, then I guess we need to wait for Google to update the Next version to support feed rules.

Thank you for your quick answer ! Unfortunately I don’t see the button to switch back to the Classic Merchant Center.. Google says that we should be abble to do it until the 30th of september 2024, but it’s like they already deleted the button 😥

Hi Nina — Yes indeed. For now, to see the Feed Rules, you need to switch back to the old interface. I assume that at some point feed rules will be ported back into the “Next” version, but do not know for sure.

Thanks for this great article but I can’t find the “Feed Rules tab” in Google Merchant Center when I click on the “Content API” feed. Do you have an update regarding this point ? Maybe it has changed with Google Merchant Center Next.

Thank you very much !

Should I remove Source=Product_sync and Campaign=sag_organic and configure them to be dynamic?

Because on Google Ads, I use dynamic UTMs. If I follow your article, will it be solved?

And I’d like to share a problem encountered: when “removing the Currency parameter”, I found the preview result still has the currency parameter. So I change the “&currency=(…)” to “&currency=[^s]+”, and it looks normal.

Hi Ekin — Unfortunatley, I don’t know. Is this happening or has it resolved itself?

Now I can see that the links are manipulated as shown in examples above. However, in Google Analytics, I see the Google Shopping organic traffic as direct / none when I try. Why is that? Can you give some advise on that?

Hi Benny,
Sorry for the delayed response.
If you have “Gender” set properly for all your products in the Google sales channel, then this *should* resolve your feed issue.
This should NOT break anything on your website. Although we’re making some changes to the backend, it is for a specific collection template, assigned to a specific collection, and so the rest of your website should not be impacted…

The gender info isn’t getting into our meta feed. In the commerce manager catalog, under attributes, it says “your current selection is not returning at options for this filter” appears under gender.

Will the steps mentioned above resolve this issue? If so, will it have any impact on our website since it involves changes to our backend?

Thanks

Benny

In Meta, an image is displayed that does not match what should appear on Shopify’s end.

Hi Eddie — This will update the information tied to each individual product, but shouldn’t affect how the products are organized.
